Observation details

Continuing bird in reedbed from Kingfisher Hide. Interesting to try to age it - not 1st winter, since completely plain brown tertials and no apparent barring on mantle. Grey nape. However, still pale base to bill and some scaling to crown. Also scaling to base of tail. After discussion with other observers (eg Sean N) concluded probably adult female.
