Originally reported by Abby Darrah who saw a ALFL at the Swamp yesterday. Today I went to that same area and saw it feeding in shrubs and small trees lining the water-filled ditches/canals along either side of the road ending at the swamp. Bird was typically at eye level but twice flew down to the road to catch an insect. Grayish-green overall with white throat, weak and thin eye ring, dark wings with two well-delineated wing bars, and some primary projection over tail. Single-note call of pip or peet recorded. Given subtle differences in appearance of the Empidonax call note was unique and felt to be diagnostic. Photos taken.
