A Buff-breasted Flycatcher gives its dawn song among the rather open pines on the level mesa top at Mesa Campanero. Here are 3 consecutive cuts of the same bird. Background includes: American Robin, Greater Pewee singing, House Wren, Brown Creeper. I suppressed 0-700Hz to delete most of incredibly loud feedback from nearby transmission lines or transformer (?). Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.

Some dawn song & much calling on mesa top in limited area of flat, open forest
