Observation details
Drab and streaky plump warbler discovered earlier in the day by J. Carroll. Dark eyeline and pale brown supercilium that extended to nape. Fine brown streaking on creamy chest and pale throat. Streaky cheeks. Brown crown, back, wings and tail, which was short. Pinkish legs and white undertail. Dark, straight bill. It bobbed its rear up and down, almost constantly, and made a loud whistly metallic chip as it foraged through the swampy willows, sometimes a few feet off the ground, otherwise in the mud. Seen and heard in multiple locations off internal trails (35.3172725, -120.8524089). Recording and photos.
