Observation details
Juvenile on site, at quite a distance from where I was, but I was able to make it out some with camera zoom, and more importantly, Rick Bennett showed it to me in his scope on two different occasions. Shawneen Finnegan also there. Very Bad photos attached, but one does have killdeer for size comparison. Most of the bird's title was spent with only its hind part over water, which distinguishes it from Yellowlegs and Dowitchers in habit. It spent some time near Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs - I didn't get a photo with both but I did get the lesser yellowlegs w killdeer for scale that shows the difference. (specific location: east side of mitigation pond north of the covered viewing shelter.)
