Observation details
Two dark morph and one pale morph, all east. I suspect that this bird was called as a Long-tailed Skua at Cley 10 minutes before it passed us. In some pictures, the small pale head and small dark bill, the dark breastband and the strongly barred under-tail coverts and underwing coverts all suggest Long-tailed Skua. But I can't really see any barring on the uppertail coverts, the underwing primary flash is very extensive and the upperparts look quite warm in some images. Structurally, perhaps a little too chunky and broad-winged for Long-tailed too?
