The last two flight calls given as the bird flew overhead; one is at the end of the first series of calls from American Crow at 1.1 seconds and another much cleaner one at 14.2 seconds.
Observation details
**Scarce migrant in the county. Flyover at 7:05. Two distant flight calls recorded. Detected and identified by call, a distinctive plUUUeee, higher in the middle; noticeably higher pitched than the call of Black-bellied Plover. Golden-colored plover in crisp juvenile plumage. No black on underwing. Bill thinner than BBPL. Bird circled back toward campus and was quite low, so perhaps landed in a field somewhere nearby.
