Observation details
I saw 11 in poor light in the canal the road crosses before Quarry Staging area. About 90 minutes later as I was biking the west side of BayView Trail I thought I had relocated the 11 but when I biked further south and got my first looks at the first pond next to Apay Way Trail it was clear that it was a big Lesser Yellowlegs day. There was a lot of activity in that pond with Greater Yellowlegs, peeps, phalaropes, etc. that were moving around frequently, but at one point I did a fairly quick sweep and counted 20 Lessers. There were 8 more in the next pond south off Apay Way Trail and then 3 in the marsh east of the visitor center as I continued on way out of the park
