Observation details
Terrible quality photos (digiscoped with phone through heat haze at distance of about 200 meters). Previously reported and well photographed by other observers. Large shorebirds similar in height to adjacent BNST but much more robust. Long, thick, upswept bicolored bill (pinkish proximal half, grayish distal half). Grayish foreneck into breast, continuing up through side of neck and into crown. Off-whitish throat and supercilium contracted well with above-described gray. Remainder of body not seen very well due to brush, but appeared to have continued grayish color throughout upper parts including wings not strongly contrasting with neck. Whitish undertail coverts. Black primary tips and upper tail seen strongly contrasting with all other feather tracts. Belly difficult to see but appeared pale (specific color could not be noted). Smooth tones throughout, no barring or spotting seen. Observed through Zeiss Diascope 65mm with 15x-56x lens.
