Observation details
Preening on a branch. Finally got photos on my last opportunity! The one I got photos of appears to be a red-shafted northern flicker, but the outer primaries look yellow. I'd think intergrade, but all the facial features are red-shafted and I've only seen orange shafts as intergrade, not a mix of red, yellow, and orange.
