Observation details
Adult. Bouncy flight, dipping up and down slowly and gracefully like a tern. No powerful dives like PAJA. Wings long and slender. White on the upperwing restricted to outer two primaries. No flash on underwing. Grayish back contrasts strongly with dark flight feathers. The impressive length of the tail streamers rules out other jaeger species. Fantastic scope views. Possibly displaced after a morning of nonstop rain and strong SE winds from Lake Huron. Continued NE towards St Martin Bay. Documentation photos.
