Media notes

Juvenile calling - two rattle calls are from the same individual. Note that a pewee vocalization overlaps with the first of the two pygmy-owl calls. In background: Western Wood-Pewee and American Robin.

Observation details

Two juveniles in ponderosa, making loud rattling calls (begging?). Robins came in and chased one off. No sign of adults nearby.
