Summer Tanager singing at Planting Fields Arboretum
Observation details
*uncommon - continuing bird in a traditional location. Reported by Dave Klauber on Sunday. Singing from the eastern side of the Oak Trail between the Beech Path and the South Wash. Heard and only briefly seen. Robin-like, slightly burry song, very distinct from the burry and more drawn-out SCTA song. Lacking in the typical AMRO phrasing and shorter. All red bird with pale bill.
