Observation details
When a Red-shouldered Hawk that had been perched on a sign in the swimming area flew, it apparently startled a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron from its hiding place. It flew to the kayak input, and later to a rail on the handicapped fishing pier. It has been reported to be hanging around these two spots for at least a week.
