Observation details
lifer!!! heard their song first, although didn't recognize it the song was a distinct 4 note sequence that I liked and initially thought it was some kind of warbler, suddenly the song got closer and I suddenly saw a orange/brown and white, medium sized bird fly onto and perch on the tree in front of the hide!! I am super lucky to have them here since I didn't get many birds perching on unobstructed parts of the tree (such as a red bird that I suspect is a minivet that came earlier but was obstructed by branches). I took photos and noted many more on other parts of the tree or the forest calling). When walking out of the hide afterwards I also saw another one perched and photographed it, it was the closest one I saw! Really love their songs, although there seems to be some variation among individuals, and I'm not sure why- some sing clear, distinct notes like a warbler, while others are more typical bulbul-like warbled notes. Super interesting!
