Observation details

definintely a large breeding ground for the species,. At least half a dozen birds giving alarm calls as we approached the side of the wetland, then agitated individuals increased dramatically as we deepened and birds start flying over our heads, following us, when finaly they stop giving the typical tid-tid alarm calls and turn into a continuous tern-like trill, at that all the stilts in the whole area rose into the air and individuals in the distance came charging for the area over our heads, a mass of at least 50 birds calling crazily and hovering over our heads in the wind, some drawing closer to our heads. we almost panicked and start heading toward our left, after about 45 seconds the trill finally stopped and birds start flying back to where they belong, and we were left with a dozen individuals overhead making tid-tid calls
