Media notes
Among the other birdsong (and apologetically some stomach gurgles from lack of breakfast ;-), notably more explosive song (typically double- or triple-syllable "pit-pitsa") heard in the recording around the following times: 1s, 11s, 25s, 37s, 44s, 63s, 65s and 81s.
Observation details
Reported since yesterday. Recordings obtained. Much sharper and explosive calls and songs high in trees, readily setting it apart from other birds. A few short views were obtained as it flew between trees in mid- to upper canopy, showing a notably green back and contrasting white underside. Watched and listened for over 45 minutes before I moved on to other areas of the trail system.
