Male Rose-breasted Grosbeak at Barka Slough, Santa Barbara County, CA
Observation details
First heard singing from a willow at the 3.37 mile marker. The bird was eventually located and showed a black head, white underparts, white wing bars and a rose-pink area on the upper breast with a line down the center. As I approached for better photos it flew off.
