Observation details
I got good views of two birds roughly 1/4 apart. The first was a male, feeding on a log near the top of the river bluff. The second was a female, feeding along trees that lined a side creek. Neither was particularly friendly, but a did manage a couple of long range shots of the female. I also spoke to another birder who had photographed them earlier this spring. I listened to them call back and forth to one another for the better part of an hour and believe that they are resident to these woods. Will be fun to follow and see if young birds appear later this summer.
