Observation details
I was a little perplexed by this bird's relatively small size (it seemed less bulky, and longer-winged, maybe, than nearby Western Gulls), and the beak didn't really seem as heavy as I wanted it to be for Glaucous-winged Gull. But I'm not very familiar with that species, and I couldn't think of what else it could be with those light primary tips. Maybe this is a typical look for a female Glaucous-winged Gull? I think this might be the same bird I saw briefly in flight somewhat earlier, when I got a glimpse of a uniformly light-gray mantle and upper wing. I'd be interested in any feedback anyone has about this bird.
