Observation details

At time of sighting I had thought this was a least flycatcher, but I talked myself out of it because I hadnt gone birding in a while and was like what are the chances? Then Ryan O's report about a month later at the exact same location made me realize I was correct. Small empidonax flycatcher giving a distinctly different call that I was not familiar with. I pulled out Merlin to see if it agreed and it did list LEFL on birds being heard. I took recordings and photos at the time. I went to see the bird after Ryan O Reported it and confirmed it was making the same call and behaving the same way as my observation a month earlier.
