Media notes
It was 5:24am and it wasn’t over yet—the dawn song of Nutting’s Flycatcher(s) that now seemed to be duetting, the presumed female adding her part periodically. Here are two successive cuts that quite likely are from the same two individuals recorded starting at 05h00m36s. But now it’s light enough to see that they are low in a 10’ clump of mesquite trees/scrub on the slope. Background includes: White-tipped Dove, Brown-crested Flycatchers calling, White-winged Doves. This is still at the turnoff to the dirt road to Presa Chiculi. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
