Media notes
Dawn song of Nutting's Flycatcher (which was already going when we arrived at 4:55A and lasted until at least 5:15A despite a couple of breaks, causing us to think it might be over, and what was probably a female joining it ca. ) from mesquites on a thornscrub desert slope at the turnoff to Presa Chiculi from the road from Cd. Obregon. Background contains a prominent Buff-collared Nightjar that starts singing after 1 minute and continues. Also distant White-winged Doves, calls of Brown-crested Flycatcher, cattle; in cuts after 7minutes: also Tropical Kingbird, White-tipped Dove. The duet starts about 8 minutes in. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
