NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 8. ? on species name; Bulk reel: 71 Fair; last quarter moon. These hoots came from the trees along the ravine ~ 150 m. from the road. *I am not at all sure they are by this species, may be of Pulsatrix perspicillata or some other owl. However, an A. clamator that had been giving "weak screams" in a tree at side of road, resumed giving them after I played back these hoots (see next cut) although that may have been only an indirect reaction. (Note that there is some similarity between these hoots and others that I've provisionally assigned to Pulsatrix perspicillata.) Identification: I doubt very much that these belong to this species. 18/1/69 PS. Habitat: Canyon, Edge.
