Observation details
*Uncommon and early. Found by Shai a few minutes earlier. With other dowitchers at back of puddle in picnic area. Very large, round-backed dowitcher with full rufous underparts and scaly back and extremely long, straight bill. Rather paler than the two darker rufous individuals. At least one Long-billed clearly audible giving "keek" calls when the flock took flight. Possibly a second bird, looked good by plumage but rather small and shorter-billed, so filing under slash for the purposes of this. Possibly another hendersoni.
