Observation details
Continuing bird on beach at inlet, appeared to be limping. Initially foraging (and eating) along beach and sometimes close to the waves, extremely tame around humans until some dogs flushed it multiple times. When it got close to me, I heard it give a single odd whistle/squeak noise once. It eventually got flushed one last time and landed on a sandbar in the pond. Bulky jaeger with a bold black cap extending below the large bill, a yellow collar, and the distinctive (if very worn) spoon-shaped tail feathers. Photos and videos TBA.
