Observation details
This observation was made near a stand of mature trees surrounded by a field of flowers on one side and an open recently harvested arable field on the other. A pair of Kestrels are also in the wood, one of which was hunting earlier in the day. 3-4 Common Buzzards were also in the area shortly before. I will add individual recordings, which Merlin identified as a Northern Goshawk. The calls sound more aggressive than a Kestrel and have distinct similarities with the third of the eBird Eurasian Northern Goshawk example calls. I tried to get a physical sighting but wasn't able to see the bird. [Clement - I will upload the recordings later this evening from my laptop. Richard]
