Observation details
What an afternoon! Good light so good view of the tail details, and at times a male flashed his colors - absolutely beautiful. The Woodstars were busy/active all afternoon, as were the Amazilias but in peaceful harmony. There was a lot of activity between the Woodstars, almost always in the bare limbs up high, but they would also feed on/in/through the nasturtium vines that dangled down from the limbs. The videos need to be shortened, but I will replace some of the photos with videos which show much more, especially behavior. After watching the Woodstars, it seemed that the Amazilias were giants!
