Observation details
Addl info: The birds were high above timberline far from any vegitation. There was 50% snow fields, so the birds were 50% white and 50% rock/dirt camoflage. The white coloration was their lower half nearer to the ground. They were not frightened of me; in fact, They were at my feet when I first saw them and I bent over to make sure they were real. It was COLD, and the clouds were blowing tbrough, so they were hunkered down and stayed that way as we climbed on up the mountain.
