Observation details
Spectacular adult that made >20 tight circles around the boat giving everyone great views. A large tern-like bird with a white body and long white tail, a heavy bright red bill, black scalloping on the back, and black outer primaries. The bird was heavy bodied with wings that felt too narrow and small for the bird, so that its flight was one of constant rapid flapping on stiff wings. On the slide: (33.2150769, -118.2168610)
