A pair of paradise shelducks on a small pond on farmland by the coast. The female is heard much more prominently. Surf in the background, and some calls from southern black backed gulls, magpies, pied stilt; the pied stilt particularly prominent at times. A song thrush and skylark also faintly heard
Observation details
A pair of paradise shelduck on a small pond on farmland, over a fence from me. The female especially was being especially vocal. I made several recordings, moving a little closer between each one. The pair flew off during the last recording
