Media notes
evidence of feeding on bird prey (down feathers on edge of bill) - based on one glance of the prey's tail that I was able to get, it appeared to be AMRO
Observation details
adult & two vocal HY birds successfully hunting (and learning) in the DBP park area, harassed by RWBLs & AMROs. One had a small mammal (possibly chipmunk) in its talons as it was carrying it away; another was on a tree branch scolded by robins continually (didn't see it land there, didn't see it fly away from there). Tough to see in the tree foliage, but it looked like it had a robin prey based on what looked like a robin tail held between talon and branch I was able to see once, plus it had down feathers at the edges of its bill in one photo taken.
