Could this be an alder? A willow doing pip calls? To my ear in the field and looking at the recordings… it is a pip call . Whether the that is specific to species or not is another story . To make this even more confusing. There’s very little on the internet about willows making pip calls , but having read the following article it’s not clear if the pip/pit type call is distinct between species: http://www.appliedbioacoustics.com/Repertoires/Passeriformes/Tyrannidae/Empidonaxalnorum/bird.html
