Observation details
Continuing birds near the ranch house on the western end of the Plover trail. The grassland birds (and prairie dogs and pronghorn) along the entire Plover trail are a treat in the early morning, but as soon as you near the ranch area and cross a cattle guard begin to look/listen for this pair. I didn't hear singing, but the wind was stronger than I had hoped. I did hear and record their chip notes as they foraged along (and sometimes on) the road for insects. The pair would occasionally perch near each other on the fenceposts and barbed wire.
