Observation details
*beyond property boundary*, north. Heard only, singing, northeast of where the cross-fence intersects the north property boundary. The habitat beyond there appears to be grasses with patchy sagebrush (Artemisia sp.), with some localized clumps of chokecherry (Prunus virginiana) and 2 shrubby juniper trees (Juniperus sp.) Heard the distinctive song several times, starting with 2 or so relatively low, buzzy notes, followed by several different trilled phrases. Seemed to begin lower than the introductory notes and to rise in pitch and speed up. Looking at the spectrogram, I do not see these intro notes I thought I heard, but rather a series of trills on different pitches, with notably different qualities.
