Media notes
Recording Time: 11:12:00 AM (UTC -6). Temperature: 12 C. Habitat: Brush, Rangeland, Sagebrush, Shrub. Behavior and other notes: A few faint calls. There were seen Golden Eagles (one adult and one sub-adult - probably first year - in the area. I do not think that the bird that I was looking at when I made this recording was one of the eagles (unidentified hawk - possibly a Northern Harrier, but not certain enough to count as such), but the calls are consistent with the eagle. Specific Location: Latitude 40.41358218, Longitude -107.54395819, Elevation 2176 m. Hamill Ranch east of Hamilton, CO. About 1.1 km upstream from corral near the point where the valley forks to the north and east. Side of a grassy valley with scrub oak, sage brush, and other shrubs on valley sides. Valley sides becoming somewhat rocky. ID'd by Sound; ID confidence 60%.
Observation details
