Observation details
solitary Jaeger spotted flying along the Ottawa river, southward. This might actually be a Long-tailed Jaeger, because its long tail feathers were what caught my attention (pictures barely show them) but Long-tailed Jaegers are unreported in the area. Using binoculars, the Jaeger had a defined black cap and a dark bill. Pictures show it flying away from the camera and are evidence of its pale belly and the gradient from light to dark from the belly to its wings, and in the last picture, two prominent tail feathers.
