View of colony from adjacent mainland 350m to the south
Observation details
Birds sitting on eggs in very tight proximity to each other in a single large clump of birds adjacent to breeding colony of white-cheeked terns also actively incubating eggs. Difficult to estimate accurate numbers from 350 m but colony may be larger. Entry onto the island would pose a severe threat to egg survival due to disturbance and temperature stress. Diameter of sitting bird colony ca. 80m.
