This tape includes songs from both individuals. Additionally, the close bird gave several bouts of a longer version of the song, including various croaked and whistled phrases. Recorded without microphone.
Observation details
*uncommon, and high count for Suffolk County - two singing individuals in the overgrown pond south of the main trail at Fuchs Pond, one of which was the first ALFL that I have actually seen in Suffolk, despite having found four. This is the same location I had one singing bird about five years ago. Birds were singing aggressively towards each other, and eventually one chased the other away. I didn't hear the other afterward. Part of a flight, representing the best spring for the species for the county on eBird. Recordings attached.
