Observation details
I was on Highway 22 near the intersection of King Road (west) when a swallow-tailed Kite flew over me at maybe 75 yards at the closest. It was circling me and actively flying. It was large, with long, 2 parted tails with black feathers and black outer feathers under the wings . The under body and part of the under wings were white. I saw the Swallow-tail Kite in Green Lake County in 2018 and also in Florida. I pulled over and took five quick photos that did not turn out the best. The kite then flew west along King Road. I turned around and saw it the last time about .33 miles on King Road west of Highway 22. I looked for around one half hour including about two miles to the west on King Road and about 1.5 miles on Loveland Road, about one mile south of King and west of High. 22. King Road is very wooded and the kite could have been over the flying road but not able to be seen. I tried on Loveland with field glasses that is more open but not luck. NOTE: Highway 22 is a busy highway.
