Observation details
Decent light for good photos of this RBSA x RNSA was only available for a short while in late afternoon. The male was certainly busy, often returning with food in just over a minute and seemed to average around three minutes much of the time. He is the same individual getting sap from a mountain ash on the June 18th submission (https://ebird.org/checklist/S142142802). No female seen attending to the nest. The sapsucker nest hole is approximately 13.72 m (45 ft) up a large dead aspen in mixed forest close to Candle Creek. Digiscoped using ProCamera app on an iPhone SE (2nd generation) with a PhoneSkope adapter on a Meopta MeoStar S2 20-70x82HD.
