Observation details
Adult female (on the left) with juvenile (on the right) following it around. Adult with cinnamon crown and nape; yellow under tail and wings. Juvenile with yellow under wings and tail. No male around to guess at father. End of April, the female was seen with a Northern Flicker. Later when a flicker called from the west trail, Merlin said Northern but no visual and I am not an expert on the difference in the calls between Northern and Gilded. Put them both as Gilded since I couldn't determine parentage that might lean to the juvenile being a hybrid. Last three photos of the juvenile.
