NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 27. Bulk reel: 29; Extra cut length: 6:00 Natural one-note song (male?); in background can be heard another bird in dawn song. Quality: 2. Level: +10.Then natural dawn song, same bird that was giving the one-note song; other bird still heard in background. Quality: 2. Level: +10.Then another sound is heard which I subsequently found also comes from this species but a still different individual, closer to me. This is the first and only time I've ever heard this sound.Recording now with parabola focused on this new type sound; then original bird is still heard in dawn song in background. Quality: 1. Level: +10, +5.This bird then gives "dawn song" (perhaps after playback) and from tone sounds like a female. Quality: 1. Level: +3.Then while I changed reels, the bird changed back to the strange, new vocalization again. Quality: 1. Level: +5.
