Observation details
Woohoo! County bird for me! Found by Darren Clark this morning-thanks for the great find Darren! I refound the vireo at around 11:25am in the large eucs just to the right when you enter the nature area via the main entrance. I only ever heard this bird, no visuals, but it was singing loudly from those eucs off and on for the next 15 minutes or so-recordings to add. Bird was in the eucs around here: (33.7276853, -117.9417947). I was never able to get a visual, but Darren did earlier today. About 20 minutes after the bird stopped signing, Tom Wurster and Edana Salisbury arrived-never refound their vireo with them during the time I was there. Song a loud, musical mixed set of jumbled phrases with various pitches, sometimes repeated(?). about a second or so between notes. Multiple recordings to add, not great(there was only one plane flying overhead the day, of course it was right when the bird sang!) but they’re identifiable.
