Observation details
While listening to and visually observing the two Plumbeous Vireos, I heard the somewhat faster and slightly less burry sound of a Gray Vireo. . The road I was on is a distinct break from riparian habitat and a dry Pinyon -Juniper hillside. A few yards along the road on the dry side from the Plumbeous, I saw the Gray Vireo quite well at about 25 feet. Plain gray vireo with one almost not discernible wing bar, thin complete eye ring but no spectacles as in solitary vireo, less contrast between the head/upper parts and the undersides then shown by the Plumbeous, and tail appearing longer. Nice to see both species in proximity for good comparison visually and aurally. Recording.
