Observation details
We observed TWO sets of waxwings building nests! Also, one adult feeding another. 1st nest and photo: Heading west on Sherman Hollow Road, we were in line with a yellow diamond sign (watch out for children). The nest (first photo posted) was in a deciduous tree just to the left of two smaller white pines. 2nd nest and photo: continue west, just past the white farm house at the edge of the mowed yard, in a deciduous tree to the right of the NO HUNTING sign. There are two waxwings in this photo. The first one was pulling material (hanging down) into the center of the nest when the second bird flew in with more material!
