Observation details
Adult female seen approximately 0.15 mi down canyon from where the female was seen last year. A compact hummer with strongly decurved bill. Green upperparts with cinnamon-buff flanks. Call note differed from that of Broad-tailed and Black-chinned, with which I am more familiar with. Tail was proportionately short, a far cry from the "sheartail" of the male. Structurally the bird appeared to lack a neck. Appeared to potentially hanging around a nest site.
