Observation details
Continuing bird found by Matt Blaze on 6/20. As I was walking back to the car I clearly heard a loud, forceful "pwit-SIP" twice from the woods but wasn't able to locate the bird. Fortunately I was able to hear it again further back toward Holly Pond and after waiting it came out close the road and fed from the trees around the stream periodically singing pwit-SIP and calling a high pitch pweek. The light was dim but I was able to see the flat forehead, peaked crown, long thick bill, long wing projection, fine but well defined eye ring, light white throat/chest, yellow flanks/belly, wide tail and the long primary tip spacing. Combination of these features and the song distinguish from similar LEFL (messier eye-ring, shorter projection, smaller bill) and YBFL (darker neck, yellower chest, narrower tail). There might have a been a second bird further to the north, but I was never able to hear it clearly enough to count it as a second. Audio and photos.
