An adult male African Cuckoo calls from degraded bushed savanna near the old airstrip at Mole NP. This is a few minutes after some playback. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
one singing steadily was enjoyed in the telescope; seen several times with another bird, and loud rattle calls may be the female, per Phil
