Observation details
Along the fence line at the gravel road where there aren’t nesting willows. Tempted to go with alder because of the dark olive wash to the crown and back and complete eye ring. Silent except for a ‘breeer’ call. I listened to recordings of both immediately after and it sounded more like the alder version. Unfortunately it disappeared and I couldn’t refind it.
